Ankit Oswal aka AO is a solo hip hop artist out of Corona, CA. He recently graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Economics. Growing up in an Asian Indian family with strong cultural background, academics has always been stressed as a gateway into having a successful future. Although school remains an important priority for him getting involved with music, especially hip hop, has taken everyone by surprise. Looks can be very deceiving, and it is amazing to see people turn their heads twice and say “Is that really you?” when they hear AO’s music blazing in their ears. His smooth unorthodox voice and flow adds diversity to the traditional West Coast swag exemplified by his debut street record "Ready For Takeoff.” Yes, many rappers aspire to be the next famous hip hop icon, however, along with that AO would like to demonstrate to people that hip hop has no barriers or boundaries, making it such a unique and interesting culture. Despite the fact that he comes from the suburbs and despite the fact that he does not carry the “stereotypical” hip hop swagger AO feels his music is a force to be reckoned with. Lets get it in!
